One of the benefits of choosing a GESB retirement product is that you have the flexibility to continue to choose what assets your money is invested in through your investment plan.
GESB offers a range of investment plans for its retirement products that target varying levels of risk and return, designed to give you control over your investment.
What type of investor are you?
Every investor is different. Things such as your age, the amount of super you have and your tolerance to market volatility can determine how much risk you are willing to take. We call this your risk profile. Knowing your risk profile can help you choose the investment plan that is right for you.
Investors willing to take on a relatively high amount of risk, or 'growth' investors, typically seek to maximise their longer term investment and are not worried about the possibility of a negative return every three to four years. On the other hand, 'conservative' investors typically seek stable year-on-year returns.
The important thing is not to pick the investment plan that is performing best, but one that suits your investment risk profile. You can get an idea of your risk profile by using our Risk profile calculator.
Our investment plans
Our investment plans are designed to meet the needs of all types of investors. If you are invested in one of GESB's retirement products you can choose from a range of 'ready-made' retirement plans. Each plan has a different objective for target performance and therefore different asset allocations. You can also select your own asset allocation with our MY Plans.
One of the advantages of our Allocated Pension is being able to invest your super in one or more Readymade plans provided one of them is the Cash plan . This way you have enough to provide for your short term income needs in the Cash plan and the rest can be invested for longer term growth.
At GESB we follow a careful process that helps us to grow your super and give you every chance to achieve your financial goals. For more information visit the investment process page.
