At GESB, the investment team undertakes a range of activities to help maximise the long-term value of your super and retirement accounts.

Bill Dwyer - Acting Head of Investments

Bill oversees the investment team and is responsible for formulating and managing GESB's global equity asset class strategies.  He also contributes to the formulation of investment strategies and to strategic planning initiatives for the fund. Bill is a CFA charterholder and an Actuary with 12 years experience in the financial services industry, most recently as Manager, Investments at a $3 billion superannuation fund. Previously, Bill gained five years experience in a senior manager research role at a global investment consultant. Bill joined GESB in August 2009.

Ben Palmer - Senior Investment Strategist

Ben focuses on asset allocation policy across the GESB portfolios and is responsible for formulating and managing GESB's private equity asset class strategy. Ben has over 12 years experience across a range of asset classes, including nine years with Schroder in London, latterly as head of portfolio construction and manager selection for the group's UK private wealth business and previously as asset allocation strategist specialising in the not-for-profit sector. Ben holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. He joined GESB in December 2012.

Andrew Guilfoyle - Investment Strategist

Andrew is responsible for formulating and managing GESB's Australian equity and alternatives asset class strategies, as well as GESB's medium term asset allocation. Andrew is a Certified Investment Management Analyst with eight years investment experience, most recently as an analyst with BT Financial Group based in Sydney, and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). Andrew joined GESB in December 2008.

John Lim - Investment Analyst

John is responsible for formulating and managing GESB's cash and fixed income asset class strategies. John's role also involves analysing economic, investment and performance data across all asset classes. John has a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Science and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. Prior to joining GESB in May 2004 John held roles in policy development, strategic research and data analysis within the government sector.

Meghann Roberts - Investment Analyst

Meghann is responsible for managing GESB's foreign exchange risk. Meghann also contributes to the formulation and management of GESB's cash and fixed income asset class strategies as well as analysing economic, investment and performance data across all asset classes. Meghann has a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce and a Certificate in Quantitative Finance. Prior to joining GESB in December 2012 Meghann worked at the Western Australia Treasury Corporation as a quantitative financial analyst.
