Do you need financial advice?

Benefits of a financial plan

Having a financial plan will help you:

  • Define your main financial goals and timeframes
  • Understand the steps you need to take
  • Consider other options that might help you reach your goals
  • Achieve your goals in the desired time
  • Commit to both long and short term goals

A financial plan will set out all the things you want to achieve and will help you to save for a comfortable retirement.

GESB Financial Advice, AFSL 309268, is able to provide financial product advice about superannuation, retirement savings accounts, securities, life insurance, managed investment schemes and banking deposit accounts.

How to make a financial plan

You might decide to make your own financial plan seeing as you will be the one implementing it. If you decide to develop your own plan, you will be responsible for your own investment choices and sticking to the plan.

Creating a successful financial plan on your own is possible, but you must be well informed. The plan must also be reviewed regularly as your circumstances change.

If you don't know where to start - try following our step by step guide to 'Preparing for Retirement' below.

If you decide to see a financial adviser, we still recommend that you follow GESB's step by step guide below to ensure that you are well informed and fully prepared before your first visit with your adviser. It will help you make a retirement decision that's right for you.
