Change your investment

Making sense of super means understanding that life is all about options - the more you have the more flexibility you can enjoy when it comes to planning a retirement which suits your needs and expectations.

But planning ahead can be daunting. What if you're unsure what kind of investor you are and so choose the wrong investment plan? What if your circumstances suddenly change and a different investment plan becomes more suitable?

Good news. The investment planning decisions you make today can be changed tomorrow. This doesn't apply if you have a Gold State Super account or are in the WA Public Sector Pension Scheme because your benefit is defined and Government guaranteed, irrespective of investment performance

We have a range of investment options to meet most needs and retirement expectations, so start by finding out what sort of investor you are.

From there you can either choose the GESB investment plan which suits you most, or leave it to us - we have a default investment plan for each of our market-linked super funds and your money will be invested in it automatically until you tell us otherwise.

Whenever you want to change investment plans having completed your research, our Member Online function makes it very easy to do so.

Case Study: Peter's story

Not wanting to put his super funds at risk, Peter chose a particularly conservative plan. The plan he chose had returns less than another type of plan.
If Peter had chosen the other plan with slightly higher risk and higher potential returns, his benefit could have grown by more.

Be sure to spend time researching all your investment plan options to avoid choosing the wrong one - and then regularly review the performance of your super to make sure it continues to meet your needs and expectations as you approach retirement.
