Retirement Rewards Seminar (RRS)

GESB has developed the Retirement Rewards Seminar to help Retirement Income pensioners and their partners to make the most of their retirement and take advantage of the Government's pension drawdown relief.

The seminar is designed to help you:

understand the new pension drawdown relief and how to amend your pension payments,
provide an overview of current economic conditions and investment performance, and
a general question and answer session.

A special guest speaker will also talk about retirement during a market downturn and tips to stay on track.

Building Wealth through Super Seminar (BWTSS)

Aimed at members of all GESB's super schemes, this seminar explains how to maximise your super benefit. Topics include:

Women and Super Seminar (WASS)

GESB has developed the "Women and Super" seminar in response to the results of recent surveys which disturbingly showed that:

50% of women are unsure of their financial prospects in retirement?[1]
Most women retire on less than half the superannuation of men?[2]
50% of women who retire in the next 8 years will retire on a lump sum of less than $20,000[3]

The GESB "Women and Super" seminar has been specifically designed to assist women to understand and deal with this important issue. This seminar runs for approximately 1.5 hours and comprises two distinct parts:
