GESB Financial Advice

GESB's subsidiary, trading as GESB Financial Advice (GFA) is being wound-up consistent with the State Government endorsed Whithear recommendation. This is part of a wider State Government reform of superannuation. As a result GESB will no longer provide access to a financial adviser through GFA.

GESB Clearing House - Contributions to QSuper

Since the launch of the Clearing House service to employers in late March 2012, GESB has received a small number of rejected choice contributions from QSuper (the fund for current and former Queensland Government workers).

Improvements to GESB's 'Departmental report' form

6 June 2012
A new section, 'Section 6 - Selection Date', has been added to the Departmental report form. In the new section you will need to complete the Member's date of birth and date of employment ceasing along with two Selection Dates. The definition is explained in Section 5 and an example of how to identify the correct Selection Dates is included.

Salary packaging

The Department of Commerce Public Sector Labour Relations Directorate has proposed a number of amendments to the WA public sector salary packaging guidelines to support the introduction of choice of superannuation fund from 30 March 2012. A submission has been made to government for approval.
