SuperRatings Super of the Year Finalist 2011

GESB Super is ranked in the top 10 superannuation funds in Australia. SuperRatings assessed over 450 products to determine the accumulation super schemes that offer the best value services to members

SuperRatings Pension of the Year Finalist 2011

SuperRatings ranked GESB Retirement Income Allocated Pension in the top 10 pension products in Australia.

Chant West Top 10 superannuation fund in Australia, 2011

Chant West ranked GESB in the top 10 superannuation funds in Australia. This was based on an assessment of organisational strengths, investments, fees, insurance (for super members), administration and member services. The Chant West rating of GESB includes consideration of both GESB Super and West State Super.

SuperRatings Platinum, 2011

GESB Super and Retirement Income Allocated Pensions were awarded Platinum status for the fourth year running, while GESB's West State Super was awarded Platinum status for the third consecutive year. Platinum status is granted to only the top 15% of the best 'value for money' funds, based on an assessment of investment returns, investment methodology, fees, administration and advisory services, as well as a robust, secure and proven governance framework.

GESB Super, West State Super and Retirement Income Allocated Pension were awarded the highest rating of Five Apples. This followed an assessment of organisational strengths, investments, fees, insurance, administration, member services and employer services.

The Heron Partnership 5 Quality Stars, GESB, 2010/11

GESB Super was awarded 5 Quality Stars for the second year running. This is granted to only the top 25% of super products, based on an assessment of investment arrangements, insurance, ancillary benefits, communications and contributions.

Towers Watson, P&I/TW300 Top 300 global funds, 2009

GESB has joined an elite group of 15 Australian super funds ranked in the top 300 global funds, according to Towers Watson, P&I/TW300.

Investment Trends, highest member rating for education seminars, 2009

GESB member education seminars received the highest member rating in the 2009 Investor/Member Sentiment and Communications Report by Investment Trends.

Communications awards

Integrated Campaign of the Year Award, Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) Communications Awards, 2010

GESB was recognised by ASFA for the quality of its education campaign that focused on helping members achieve long term financial well-being through greater awareness of the advantages of consolidating their super. The campaign reinforced messages delivered to members via online, phone and employer channels.

GESB was recognised by ASFA for a campaign that explained the advantages of people taking control of their finances in difficult economic times by seeking sound financial advice.
