Advisers who are looking for information on one of our members must first supply us with a valid adviser authority.

We need the advisor to provide the member's name, date of birth and signature, and either one of the following:

  • Member number,
  • Address or employment details.

Please note the authority needs to be dated to be valid.

The adviser also needs to provide both their name and the name of their employer or organisation. 

Third party authorities are valid for a maximum of two years and may be cancelled earlier. This applies to all third party authorities, including spouses, and aims to protect our members' personal details.

If the authority is no longer valid, we will need the member to provide a written or verbal update.
